I am a successfull businessman and a freemason. I married 4 months ago and I think it is time that my wife grows up and starts acting like a mason's wife. I don't like her drinking and smoking. It is considered impure and inappropriate by the other masons in my lounge. My wife really wants a carreer of her own but I keep telling her that she has little or no chance to stay with me for the rest of her life if she is going to earn more than me. There are also very few men who would like to be together with a woman like that. She is a secretary right now but she is talking about taking another university grade. I tell her that we have enough money but she doesn't want to listen. She is so self centered right now and I don't know what to do. The other masons would laugh of me if my wife turned out to earn more than me. She doesn't right now, but who knows in the future? I don't like that my wife goes out dancing with her friends, and especially not with male friends. I want her to go out with me to nice restaurants.
I am so tired of coming home and there is no dinner on the table. Even if we both work, I think it is a wife's duty to cook a nice meal. It has always been like that and I think it is the right way. My wife tells me she feels quite tired fatigued when she comes home from work. I am tired of french fries and mac and cheese. I want her to make me real dinners. Dinners that are suitable for a man like me! I also think I get too little sex. Once in a week is too little. Look! We have not been married a year and we have sex once a week. She told me that she is not a prostitute when I asked for sex the last time. I told her it is her duties as a wife. What should I do? I love her and I do want to spend the rest of my life with her. But I want to be the MAN in the relationship. I want to be the stronger part. I want to be her protector and knight in shining armor. I don't like the thought of her becoming more powerful and earning more money than I do. I think men are more suited for leader positions and women are better suited for following orders. This is the reason why we masons don't let women join. How can I tell my wife how important my role as a businessman and a mason is? How can I make her respect me more and act like a mason's wife?

It is a relatively little know fact that one of Britain’s most celebrated, though far from uncontroversial, statesmen, Winston Churchill, was a Druid. In the first decade of the twentieth century the still relatively obscure Churchill dabbled with a number of esoteric organisations most notably the Freemasons and his initiation into Druidic rites appears to have been an outgrowth of this.
Churchill was born in 1874 and his father, Randolph Henry Spencer Churchill, had been a Freemason and this may well have provided Winston with his first introduction to the fraternity. However Winston Churchill did not actually join the Masons until after his father’s death in 1895. Although there are different accounts of exactly when and where Churchill became a Mason it seems that he was initiated into the Entered Apprentice degree in 1901 in Studholme Lodge (no. 1591) in London. Churchill subsequently advanced through the Fellow Craft degree and was raised to a Master Mason in March 1902 in Rosemary Lodge (no. 2851). Another version has him being initiated into a lodge in South Africa in 1903. Churchill remained a Mason until 1912.

As well as conflicting accounts of his initiation into Freemasonry there is also some confusion over Churchill’s Druidic initiation, more specifically which of the several Druidic orders did he join.

A photograph in Stuart Piggot’s book The Druids shows a young Churchill flanked by a number of men, some wearing druid robes and others in ordinary suits. According to the inscription this photograph shows Churchill’s initiation into the Albion Lodge of the Ancient Order of Druids in August 1908 at Blenheim.

I was wondering about your opinion on Dan Brown's latest book 'The Lost Symbol'? I'm about 20 pages away from finishing it, and i thought it was extremely interesting. Since my grandfather passed away 6 years ago and i found out he was part of the brotherhood, i've become interested in the history of it.

I was wondering as a Freemason, or someone who is close to one (and actually knows their facts), are you offended by the book, were rituals blown out of proportion, or did you find it to be a good read and allowing the outside world to gain a better inside into the craft?

Any thoughts you have, especially if you have read the book and are not just speculating would be good :)

Im thinking about becoming a mason but im scared like in every fraternity you have to do crazy and dumb stuff that sometimes ends up hurting you.If you have info please let me know because i am very interested.


I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I'm considering the air force and my inlaws tell me that if I become a freemason they cannot deploy me for war. I don't give it much merit, but I figured I'd ask, is this true? Or is it a load of join our club BS?

What are the freemasons? how do i join? what is their purpose? are you one? is there money to be made when you become a freemason?


It is suggested he was an atheist, but he was a Freemason. To become a Freemason you have to believe in a higher power. The following is a quote by Mark Twain:

I know that I'll have to ask one to become one, but I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to actually find one that can help me out, since most Lodges I know of only accept men and I am a woman. I have heard that there are a few Lodges around that would accept females, but I have no idea which ones, and where?

I'm from Ontario Canada, I have always had a fascination in freemasonry. I was wondering how and who I would contact to become a freemason. This is a genuine question and interest. I personally believe that I would make a quality addition.


Is it possible to know the steps or at least what are some of the first moves that must be made?

I have heard that you can only be a Mason if you are male, white, and not disabled in any way. Is this true?

My family has a history of free masonry, knights of columbus, shriners...I've always been curious about becoming one. It seems like most are older, and I am curious what age you joined if you are?
'Your Assistant" mentioned freemasonry as a cult, and had a rascist past. I feel that many people think there is something secretive about it, you must be one of them. Actually, NO I am not from the south originally. My family is from New York, I do live in Texas now, however. I dont think you researched anything, but rather read about it online from some obsessives page. Or maybe you've seen too many movies...Oh, and go fuck yourself for insulting my family.


I am very interested in becoming a Freemason. I live in Tennessee, and wanted to know the minimum age I need to be to join. I have heard that if you have a father or grand-father that was a Mason, you can be let in at 18, but I do not know if that is true. (My grand-father was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite) At my age (I am older than 12) I know that I could join DeMolay, but the closest chapter is 90 miles away. That makes it nearly impossible for me to go to many meetings. So, if there are any Masons that can answer this for me, I would greatly appreciate it.


I plan on taking a recommendation from my history teacher so that I can become a member. The thing is that if I get the recommendation from him as a member of Ohio lodge, will I be able to get my application through in a different state? I am worried that after I move for college, I wont be able to find someone to ask in that state... Do the recommenders have to be in the same state?

Should the Police be banned from becoming freemasons, as it puts other people at a disadvantage during investigations. Of course we all know a freemason will lie to help a brother in distress.


To become a freemason, you have to be recommended by two freemasons. You can't just walk up to the lodge and say to the Secretary that you wish to become a freemason.
They do look after their fellow masons and their families other than that what else do they do to the society on the whole? why there are so many victims in the world who have or are suffering as victims to be harassed,humiliated,insulted,persecuted and have their entire families life destroyed.
Lower rank freemasons are not significant, they are there to fool the public but these low ranks are not aware what the top masons are upto. Now, that is a secret.

I am currently a DeMolay at the John Greenleaf Whittier Chapter in Haverhill, Massachusetts and I am Catholic. My grandfather is a 32nd degree mason (Knights Templar) and my Great Grandfather was a Master Mason 11 times at the Lawrence United Lodge and Merrimack Valley Daylight Lodge.

why or why not?


So does this mean as a Deist I could not become a freemason because I don't have a holy book to swear upon nor do I believe that there is a book with God's real words written within them but that God has not and will not intervene within the universe but is only the Grand Architect of the Universe and nothing more?

I know that technically a Deist should be able to become a Freemason because they do believe in a Supreme Being however they don't believe in bibles and such so how would we be sworn in?

Is becoming a freemason a sin? Do you sell your soul to satan? What do you benefit from becoming one? I heard an ex-freemason higher than a 33 degree said that they Blasphemy the Catholic religion. Why does everyone make fun of Jesus, in the movies, in RL? Why does the department of children and families go after Catholic families?
